Extensive study about headaches.
Over 1,000 acupuncture clinics had been incorporated into a headache and migraine research, which was ordered by German healthcare companies. They compared the treatment results of people who received arbitrarily determined acupuncture treatments ; medication chosen by patients themselves; and people who did not receive at all acupuncture treatments. Headache and migraine was discovered 15,056 % out of all questioned.
The research showed that patients after three months treatment (15 acupuncture sessions) suffered significantly less under headaches than before the treatment and also the quality of life arose significantly after the treatment period. The results of headache and migraine were similar. (11th Annual Symposium on Complementary Health Care, 2004)
During the research they compared people who suffer from chronical headaches and people who suffer from average amount of headaches. People who were being researched received their treatment in Kotzing´s acupuncture clinic; other group with who the comparison was made did not receive at all treatment. After 4 weeks 52% of the group who received treatment their headaches had been decreased over 50%.
Migraine and headaches did obey the best to the treatment rather than other chronical headaches.  (Complementary Therapies In Medicine (2004) 12, 71-78)
